Amelia was never one to hide from people, especially those with dark pasts. They were often the ones who needed a friend more than those who had easy pasts. She'd learned that lately. Cam definitely looked like he needed someone to talk to. He still hid things behind those eyes, that much was obvious to her. She wouldn't push him though. They'd just met. It would all come out with time.
When he spoke Amelia closed her eyes and turned her head to the floor with a soft laugh. "You're just full of flattery, aren't you?" She asked, looking to him and smiling again. "Thank you, though. I actually haven't heard that one before."
He was sweet. Charming, sweet, and handsome. Though whether it was an act or he was actually that was she wasn't sure. It was still nice. She hadn't missed the obvious subject change though. But again, she wasn't going to push him. If he didn't want to talk about it anymore she certainly wouldn't make him.

Cam smiled his eyes cheeky yet heart stoppingly charming smile. He did not know how he did it. He swore women would find him less charm once he had that scar on his face, but it seemed that more women had found him handsome, maybe it was the scare, gave him a bit of a dangerous look. He ran his fingers over it, starting from just above his eyebrow running straight down to the middle of his cheek.
Once he had done that he looked at her a bit more. She was beautiful, but she had a good soul, which he rarely found in people. He found, in his vast experience, most people who were good looking had an ugly soul, but people who where, well lets say not visually stimulating had good souls. She was one of the rare ones, which was what made him come to this decision.
He leant in and kissed her. It was a soft kiss at first, but it gradually grew in passion and aggressiveness. He pulled himself closer to her and wrapped one arm around her back then the his other hand was on his waist. The kiss was a mixture of many things, it was both hard and soft, aggressive yet reserved, passionate yet tentative and mixing that with his soft yet firm lips there was no wondering why most girls melted when his kissed them.

When he'd smiled at her her heart almost melted right then and there. How did he do that? She chuckled lightly, wondering what thoughts were running through his head. She found out when their lip met. She was a little hesitant at first, but after a few moments she returned the kiss with all the natural ability and grace she had. It was after all, just a kiss. Right? Right. She would stop it before anything more happened. Wouldn't she? Of course she would. She hadn't broken her rule yet. Why start now with some devilishly handsome rich guy? Because of those reasons. Still, she returned the kiss.
When he pulled her closer and put his arms around her she put one arm around his neck and her other hand found his cheek. After a few moments she started to feel very... warm. And not in the normal good way. This was a bad way. Almost like when you have a really high fever. Her tattoos, or really, what she told everyone were tattoos, she still didn't know where they came from, were glowing faintly. She broke the kiss, pushing herself away from him. Her hands were glowing faintly and she was burning up."Oh hell," She started, moving away from him now.
What was going on? She felt like she was on fire. Literally. Could he?... She looked back to him, her eyes filled with fear and confusion now. "You have an ability, don't you?" She asked, her voice soft and scared. She hadn't touched anyone else... she'd made sure. She never touched people she didn't know. Except him, apparently. He hadn't known about her powers though. There was no way for him to know. She was still getting hotter, the markings that were visible on her shoulders glowing a little brighter now.

Cam felt a little drained as the kiss went on, it was not as potent, but it felt like… when he kissed Rouge! At the same time as she did he pulled away. This was not good, not good at all. She looked scared, his powers was coming to life in her flesh. Her skin was glowing, oh dear god his Thermokinesis was reaching full strength, which could only lead to one thing, trouble.
If she did not calm down his powers would get out of her control, and… he mentally shuddered when he thought of what that could lead to. The last time he did, he was not close to as powerful as he was now, and he took out an area the size of a large village. He looked at her and spoke, calmly and clearly,
“Y’a are mistaken, I don’t ‘ave an ability, I ‘ave six. Telepathic Projection, Solarkinesis, Moltakinesis, Thermokinesis, Vocomensis and… Molecular Pyrokinesis. Me real name, me mutant name iz’ Camaxtli, I’m an alpha level mutant ‘n’ d’a most powerful Pyrokinetic in d’a world. If y’a don’t listen t’a me very carefully, d’is club, ‘n’ everyone in it will die.”

When he spoke Amelia went rigid. Her body froze and she just looked at him, her eyes almost pleading for help. She was obviously scared out of her wits. She tried to rake a few deep breaths to calm herself down. She'd copied powers before. But nothing like this. Nothing powerful. She'd always been afraid... of.. this. Of hurting people.
"Show me how to control it. Just visibly show me how to control it. Show me how to make it stop and I can do it," She said quickly. That was how it normally worked. They could show her and she could mimic them. That was her. She mimicked people. That was what had her in so much trouble right now. She could explain it fully to him later. Right now just just really didn't want to hurt anyone.
Mentally she was panicking. Why had she let him kiss her? Why? She was an idiot. A major idiot. Her powers were part of her rules. She didn't get close to people right away because of consequences. Like this one. She'd kissed a guy who had not one, but six different abilities. Abilities she had absolutely no control over. And now... well she was about to blow up the club. Lovely. Just... lovely.

Cam nodded. Controlling his powers was never an easy task, not even for him. At time he found it very hard to control sheer power within him, especially when he was in a state of rage. He closed his eyes and brought out his first stage of release, his fist now covered in a pair of fiery gauntlets. This was the simplest of the releases to control, and he would teach her how to control this level, hopefully this would be enough to help her control it.
He kept his eyes closed, it was all a mental game with his powers; he had to keep centred to keep control. His emotions could go out of hand a bit, but if they got to out of hand that could spell trouble for a lot of people. He then took a deep breath and as the breath went in so did his flames. He was standing there with the flames now calmed and controlled. The secret to his powers, a balance in both his mind and his body.

Amelia watched him carefully, trying to take deep breaths and relax herself. It wasn't often she was risking blowing up stuff, so this was new to her. After a moment she mimicked his actions, her eyes stuck on his hands. That was her center of focus. The glow in her hands dispelled and the flames appeared like his had. Within a few moments she was controlling them, her eyes still on him. She didn't shut them off though. It gave the power a controlled outlet. It was helping her to control the rest.
"Part of my ability is to be able to mimic others physically. In watching you control the power, I learn to control it. Manage it, what ever you want to call it," She explained, a little slowly. She was obviously a lot calmer now. She looked to her hands now, watching the flames flicker around her fists. "I'm technically a Beta level mutant. But it changes with the different powers I pick up. On my own I'm not very powerful. But when I touch someone like you.." She trailed off looking back to him.
"I'm.. dangerous. I don't hurt people when I copy their power. It's like I'm just copying their DNA on contact. It only stays for an amount of time determined by how long I touched the person," She continued, she looked at her hands again, watching the flames lick around her fists. She'd never had fire abilities before. It was... interesting.

Cam nodded, he had met a few power copiers in his time, the most notable being Rouge, but he had not seen her in years. His mind started to chase possibilities. Power copiers on their own are not that strong, but because of their powers they can be very useful. It was true that he had been looking for one for Shade, he was lucky in the fact he found someone who could copy and memories muscle movements, but if he could get this girl onto his team, it could be very beneficial for both.
He extinguished the flames on his hands and smiled quite sweetly. He looked at her and sat down. Could he find a way to get her interested in joining Shade, well, there was only one way to find out. He spoke, his voice quite business like, but natural as well,
"Well, Amelia, I 'ave a proposition f'a y'a. It involves, a little team I co-run, d'ey are called Shade, we could do wi'd someone wi'd y'a... talents."

Amelia was quiet for a moment, watching her hands. She cut the flames off, watching them vanish from her hands. She turned her hands over a few times, looking for any burns or signs of the flames having been there. Finding none, she looked back to Cam, smiling slightly. "Your powers are...strange," She said, looking down to her hands again.
She was contemplating his offer, lulling it over in her head. Could she really be part of some secret organization? It seemed weird to her. Just this morning she was nothing more than an art student with abilities she did her best to keep hidden. Today had definitely been interesting. At least, tonight anyways. Still, before she made any kind of decision she needed more information. Or at least some reassurance.
Amelia stood, crossing her arms across her chest and walking away a little. She stared at the wall for a few seconds before looking back to him. "I don't know... It's all kind of... strange. I mean, we just met. I don't know what Shade does or anything about it, really," She explained, then smiled slightly. "And this could all still be some elaborate ploy to get me to sleep with you."

Cam looked at her a smiled slightly. He was use to those sort of comments, even among the mutant community it was rare to find a mutant with as many gifts as he had, and then there was his main power. He had never met a mutant with his kind of Pyrokinesis, sure enough he had met a fair few Pyros in his time, but no one who could alter the monocular structure of it.
When she showed uncertainty of the offer he should have expected it. It was indeed strange for someone they had just met to offer them a spot on any organisation they run. There was usually an interview, but with the type of jobs they do it was normal for him to give mutants he could see potential in an offer to become a trainee.
There was many thing he could have expected, but when she accused him of this being a ploy for him to get her into the sack he could not help but burst out laughing. This was not a dig at her or a evil laugh it was just a plain old joyful laugh. He found it funny because they had already me and she already got him, well to a certain degree. Once he stopped he wiped a tear from his eye before speaking,
“’n’ w’at if it iz’, would it be such a bad t’ing sleeping wi’d me, many women would pay to sleep wi’d me, trust me on d’at one. But seriously, it’s just a simple offer f’a y’a t’a come in ‘n’ train y’a powers to ‘elp Shade.
Y’a see we are a Mercenary. group, we do jus’ ‘bout anyt’ing, as long as the customer has d’a cash t’a pay our fees.
As a trainee y’a will be expected t’a do any task d’a full members give y’a, but w’en y’a become a full member, y’a will fill out a form so y’a can tell us w’at missions y’a would ‘n’ wouldn’t like t’a take, ‘ell, y’a could even jus’ stay as a teacher, once y’a get up t’a d’a right level.”

When he laughed Amelia smiled, chuckling. When he started talking she just watched him as he spoke, nodding along and listening carefully. When he finished she went and sat beside him again, leaning close. She kissed his cheek, then pulled away and smiled. Her lips were warm. Obviously an effect of his powers, but she seemed to be controlling it alright for the time being. "Most women just fawn over you. It probably irks you that it doesn't work on me, doesn't it?" She asked, her voice a little low and curious.
What she wasn't saying was that she was unsure of his offer. Once the word mercenary came out of his mouth she got nervous. She didn't hurt people. She never had. Hell, she'd never even stolen anything in her life. She probably wouldn't make a very good mercenary. Toying with him was her way of changing the subject and avoiding either accepting or declining his offer.
"And technically, no I guess it wouldn't be such a bad thing, sleeping with you. Seeing as you've already learned the ill effects of my powers, it probably wouldn't be too bad. That doesn't mean I'm going to do it, though. At least... not until I have some kind of assurance that you'd still be around after wards."
